SSC GD Cut Off 2026: Category-Wise and State-Wise Details
The SSC GD cut off 2026 represents the marks required to be shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process. The cut-off can vary according to category, state or Union Territory, gender, area and applicable recruitment criteria.
The Commission has released cut-off information with the result notification. Candidates should refer to the official cut-off tables before comparing their marks with the qualifying threshold.
Factors Affecting SSC GD Cut Off Marks
Several factors can influence the SSC GD cut-off marks:
- Number of vacancies: The vacancies available across the participating forces affect shortlisting.
- Number of candidates: The number of candidates competing for available positions influences competition.
- Examination difficulty: The Commission’s normalisation procedure may affect the marks used for shortlisting.
- Candidate category: Applicable reservation and category-specific criteria affect cut-off calculations.
- State and area: Recruitment cut-offs can differ across states, Union Territories and specified areas.
- Gender and force: Different vacancy distributions and selection criteria may lead to different cut-offs.
Candidates should not assume that a single national cut-off applies to every applicant.
Minimum Qualifying Marks vs SSC GD Cut Off
Minimum qualifying marks and the actual cut-off are not the same.
Minimum qualifying marks represent the basic percentage required under the examination rules. The cut-off is the score used to shortlist candidates for the next stage, taking the applicable recruitment criteria into account.
Meeting the minimum qualifying percentage does not automatically guarantee shortlisting for PET/PST. Candidates must check the relevant official cut-off and result list.
For accurate figures, consult the cut-off tables published through the SSC official website.
How to Check SSC GD Result 2026 by Roll Number
Candidates can use their examination roll number to search the relevant merit list PDF.
First, download the correct SSC GD result PDF. Open it in a PDF viewer and use the search function to enter the roll number printed on your admit card.
If the roll number appears in the relevant shortlisted list, the candidate has been provisionally shortlisted for PET/PST, subject to the applicable eligibility and verification requirements.
